Ansel Adams:
Category - Nature and landscapes
Purposes - Calenders, promotion - national parks, art

Interpretation of meaning - the power of nature, some of the pictures are of people trying to 'imitate' nature

The photograph above was taken by the photographer Ansel Adams. He has got a very small aperture on the camera and he must have used a tripod because you get a very sharp photograph. it captures the desolateness that the rocky land has to offer. You can see beams of light coming through the clouds leaving it peaceful and undisturbed.

Image analysis: this photograph was taken with a small aperture in the day time but whilst the moon is out
Interpretation of meaning: this photograph captures the natural beauty of the canyon as it is supposed to be day light but the moon is out making it look like moon is being personified and doesn't want to be left out.

Image analysis: This image was taken with a slow shutter speed to capture the water falling effortlessly as if it were smoke.
Interpretation of meaning: The water being a free spirit escaping the coarse, hard rocks to return to a smooth calm pool.
